Editorial policy
Our work separates verified match information, statistical interpretation and editorial opinion so readers can see what each conclusion is based on.
Accuracy first
We aim to verify dates, kick-off times, competition details, team names, results and standings against our structured data sources before publication. Football information can change quickly, so time-sensitive details should always be read with the page publication or update date in mind.
Predictions and analysis
Predictions are editorial estimates, not statements of fact. They are based on available form, standings, recent results, venue context, head-to-head information and other relevant evidence. We explain the reasoning and uncertainty rather than presenting an outcome as guaranteed.
Authors and responsibility
Each editorial article identifies the editor responsible for its competition. Author pages explain individual areas of coverage. MatchAngle remains responsible for the standards, presentation and correction of material published under its name.
Automation and editorial tools
We may use software and assisted writing tools to organise source data, identify relevant comparisons and help prepare drafts. These tools do not change our obligation to publish coherent, attributable and supportable material. We do not knowingly publish fabricated quotes, invented injuries or unsupported team news.
Updates
Pre-match pages may be updated when fixture details, standings or other material information changes. Finished fixtures may receive a separate result page while the original preview remains available as a record of the pre-match analysis.
Commercial independence
Advertising, sponsorship or affiliate relationships, if introduced, will be labelled and will not determine editorial conclusions. Paid material will not be presented as independent analysis.
